Current Research Projects:

This study looks at the institutional effects of globalization on business in Latin American countries from the perspective of Mexican knowledge workers and their career struggles, with particularly attention to the conflict between family business nepotism versus meritocratic professional development.

This study explores the challenges of creating functioning CSR supply chains from the perspective of social enterprises aiming to bridge the structural holes between small business networks and corporate networks, with a focus on differing legitimacy criteria that need to be met before social capital from one's home network can be "spent" in the other network of the potential supply chain.

Using numerous examples from decades of consulting experience, this theoretical project attempts to provide a management theory and general social science theory elaboration of the phrase "social licence to operate" which has become current in resource extraction industries.
