Dr. Niki Khorasani is an Assistant Professor of Organization Theory at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. With training in environmental and chemical engineering, Dr. Khorasani investigates how organizations and entrepreneurs respond to pressing societal challenges—such as ecological collapse, burnout, and unsustainable growth—by reimagining what business can look like. Her research centers on post-growth, sustainability-oriented organizing, exploring how ventures experiment with new economic models, embodied practices, and governance forms that cultivate hope and “enoughness”. This distinctive work has been published in respected journals including Organization Studies and the Journal of Management Inquiry. Dr. Khorasani earned her PhD at the University of Ottawa and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Alberta.
