Center for Sustainable Value Networks

Shah Alam, Malaysia

Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation

Mission

Creating a value proposition through sustainability by designing supply chains which are responsible at their core while environmentally friendly, socially inclusive and economically viable.

Main Activities

As part of teaching the center supports the Masters in Supply Chain Management program while actively engaged in industrial research. We conduct workshops and executive education as part of our outreach activities.

Organizational Structure

We are a small center, a part of the bigger MIT Global Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) Network in Malaysia. The center has been primarily funded through research projects from the industry. Currently we have been working with several local and international NGOs on ground in Malaysia, government organizations and corporate partners and particularly smaller stakeholders like SMEs and small farmers in Malaysia.
