Centre for Resettlement, Rehabilitation and Corporate Social Responsibility
The centre currently has three faculty members and one secretarial assistant.
CRRCSR is involved in research projects in the area of CSR. It consults many corporations for their R&R plan. At the policy level, it is involved in shaping India’s R&R and CSR polices. The centre conducted India’s first one year course on management of R&R and CSR. It regularly conducts training programmes for executives and NGOs.
CRRCSR has three focus areas: teaching, training and research. The Centre has launched India’s first one year certificate course on Management of Resettlement, Rehabilitation and Corporate Social Responsibility. The first batch of students finished in September 2011. On the training front, CRRCSR/XIMB are part of a consortium of five institutes that has been mandated by the Government of India to train more than 200 public sector organizations on the new CSR guidelines. On the research front, the centre co-organized the 1st National Conference on CSR: issues in implementation from February 9 to 11 at XIMB. It also co-hosted the 1st International Conference on Resettlement and Rehabilitation from April 10 to 12, 2012 at XIMB. The centre is working with more than 15 corporations advising them on their R&R and CSR activities.
