Chaire de responsabilité sociale et de développement durable
The ultimate goal of the CRSDD is to promote an economy to the service of the human beings. Its mission is to contribute, through the development and the dissemination of knowledge, through fundamental and applied research, and through training and education for executives, to the construction of a humane economy in pursuit of sustainable development.
Created in 2000, within the School of Management Sciences of the Université du Quebec à Montréal, the CRSDD officially started its research activities in 2002. CRSDD gathers professors and students, as well as people from both the corporate and community worlds who come together to share their experience, their interests and above all, their questions about the role that enterprises play within society and the implications of that role for today’s executives.
Assisted by graduate students and post-doctoral follows, the researchers affiliated with the Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Research Centre (CRSDD) run many research projects. Their work is co-funded by private companies and federal and provincial research support. Additional support is provided through the Chair's partnerships with various civil society actors.
